Since Internet is becoming a core infrastructure for our society, these interruptions are becoming a real and global problem. Both global terrorist groups as well as governent agencies around the globe could be using the tactics of create systems failure by focusing their attacks on systempunkts in order to undermine the trust in a government’s capability to manage a situation.
If we also take into account Thomas Barnett’s analysis of the correlation of the problem areas of the globe and lack of Internet access in his book The Pentagons New Map one can start thinking. If you don’t buy the book you can read about the map and it’s correlation to Firefox 3 downloads here.
